Here Come the Girls
Ashton Seals Purchasing Co-Ordinator Fay Darby and Southern Sales Co-Ordinator Tina Schofield are pictured celebrating successfully completing the Race for Life event held on Sunday 17th July 2011 at Herringthorpe, Rotherham.
They completed the race in 40 minutes and more importantly raised £500 for Cancer Research UK.
Colleagues were on hand to encourage them on their way and give special congratulations at the finish to Fay as she had only a few days to prepare herself. She jumped into the running shoes of Sarah Taylor our Midlands Sales Co-Ordinator, who unfortunately had to pull out in the days leading up to the event with torn ligaments.
Ashton Seals Operations Director Jon Thornton was one of the Ashton Seals team in attendance offering support. “Participation in Race For life is becoming a regular event for the team and is a great opportunity to both raise awareness about the disease and to do something positive to help. The girls were fantastic.”
