Ships Ahoy
All hands were on deck in order to supply the Cutty Sark Conservation Project with the necessary gaskets to continue its adventure. The famous Tea Clipper is due to reopen in Spring 2012 and we were only too happy to do our part for the refit.
Gordon Lindley Gasket Technical Specialist for Ashton Seals Ltd commented, “It never ceases to amaze me the number and variety of customers we have. Just recently we have been able to assist a Company involved in Television Production and previously we supplied products for Downing Street and The Palace of Westminster.“
The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 just three years after Ashtons was formed in Sheffield. It is fantastic that both are going strong after all these years.
