High Temperatures
High temperature sealing applications, such as those in waste gas and engine operations, require a gasket material that is capable of maintaining a long-term seal at temperatures often in excess of 500°C. At these temperatures, conventional gasket materials suffer from rapid thermal degradation which precludes their use as a component in gasket materials.
KLINGER offer a range of high temperature gasket materials capable of withstanding temperatures above 500°C and up to 1000°C. These products exhibit low weight loss at high temperatures and provide high integrity seals at temperatures beyond the normal range of conventional gasket materials.
KLINGER Graphite Laminated Sheeting
KLINGER graphite based gasket materials are suitable for use at temperature from -200°C up to 460°C and offers resistance against a broad range of chemicals.
KLINGER Quantum 2nd Generation Compressed Fibre Sheeting
KLINGER Quantum is a newly developed gasket developed for use at higher temperatures than all other compressed fibre materials. KLINGER have been able to develop new manufacturing procedures to enable the production of next generation of sealing material using Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) as a binder. HNBR brings KLINGER Quantum exceptional chemical resistance and greatly improved temperature resistance.
KLINGER Quantum maintains its flexibility even when used at high temperatures and extends the application range of this material style further than ever before.
Commonly compressed fibre materials are limited to temperatures below 200°C for continuous service and can become brittle reducing the material’s ability to adapt to changing temperatures and pressures. KLINGER Quantum continues to retain its flexibility even after prolonged used at 350°C.
KLINGER Quantum is fire-safe to API 607 and also has TA-Luft (Clean Air) approval.

KLINGER Top-Line is a range of asbestos-free sealing products comprising compressed fibre and modified PTFE materials designed to cater for the majority of gasket applications.

KLINGERsil is a range of asbestos-free calendared sealing materials able to cover a wide range of applications based around a number of different fibres and rubber binders. All KLINGERsil materials are manufactured with KLINGER’s unparalleled levels of quality control to meet KLINGER’s high specifications. KLINGERsil materials are easy to cut, handle and fit and all KLINGERsil materials are produced with KLINGER’s 3xA finish.
Top-Chem PTFE Gasket Materials
Our KLINGER® top-chem PTFE-based soft sealing gasket materials guarantee ultimate chemical resistance and are designed to cater for the majority of gasket applications. Products from the KLINGER® top-chem PTFE gasket material range are tailored to provide the characteristics required by their target industries. Amongst others, this includes tightness even at low surface pressures, high resistance against strong acids or strong alkaline solutions as well as good properties at medium and low temperatures.
